Transfer chances...Sigh...
I know the Yahoo group has great stuff on this, but I figured I would go to the source of all great legal thinking.
I just got my grades, finished with a 3.84 at a school ranked ~60ish. Looking at prior years, my class rank should end up being somewhere in the top 10, which would put me in the to 3-5% (this info is not yet available). Finished the year with at least one CALI. I have not yet decided if I want to transfer, but I would like to apply at least as a tool to negotiate additional scholarship cash money. Decent-looking things on my resume from this summer.
What do y'all think my odds are at:
1. Columbia
2. Michigan
3. Penn
4. Cornell
5. GULC
I'm looking for either unreasoned gut reactions or well-reasoned answers. I figure they'll both be interesting and worthwhile.

You should have a decent shot at all of them, IMO. Even better chance if your T2 is in the region (meaning the school is more familiar/has sent transfers in the past).
I always say this, but really target the sh*t out of your personal statements, and it should also help.
Good luck!

Unfortunately I am not in the same region of any of them, but I am definitely planning on writing a classy PS.

Your transfer application should get serious consideration at all of these law schools.

Re: Transfer chances...Sigh...
I discovered yesterday that Georgetown's deadline is 6/15 which means there is no way I can get my recs together (I'm out of town on business) in time. It is a definite bummer because I felt like with their relatively strong inclination toward transfers I had a great shot there. I may sub Wash U in for them just so I know that when I go to negotiate more scholly cash I'll have something to show for myself.
