Re: Transfer...help!!!
I think being within the top 5% is a minimal difference. Unless you're number 1.

i still think you have a pretty good chance at GULC. the others, not so much. although i'm surprised that your GPA fell that much and your ranking only went down 3.
ETA - if you really want to transfer and you're getting nervous, you might want to throw some apps at schools in the 15-30 range.

As top 3% at a T3 you are in that gray area where your softs actually do matter. No one will be able to give you a definitive answer here, except yes, you do have a chance. Harvard and Yale should be out of the question however. Assuming average softs I would say you have a 10% to get into a T6, 25% chance for T10, 60% chance for T14, and 75% for T16 and 99% chance at T20. To save money on transfer apps maybe just pick 5 or 6 T14's (def include Georgetown, and NU if you have WE) and three T20's.

I looked at their website a while ago and I was curious and it seemed like you needed a "compelling reason to be in Nashville" and they didn't take a large transfer class.maf70 wrote:thanks. softs are wretched. i have a couple of good personal statements for schools. but the only relevant legal experience i have is this summer. ive got a firm job lined up for second half and a federal internship in a large city in ohio.Total Litigator wrote:As top 3% at a T3 you are in that gray area where your softs actually do matter.
