Transferring from Charlotte School of Law
I would like to have some information from students who have or will be transferring from Charlotte School of Law ("CSL").
1) Where did you transfer to? What schools accepted you?
2.) How did you prepare to transfer from CSL?
3.) What was your rank?
Any other insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Never heard of the school. If the school is not accredited, you cannot transfer to an ABA accredited school. If your school is provisionally accredited, then you might be able to transfer (not sure if some schools accept provisional-ABA school applicants). Either way, transferring from a school that is not fully ABA accredited will probably be difficult or maybe even impossible.

If you plan on going there strictly to transfer then don't go.
If you plan on going there to stay don't go either.
If you are already there then get a time machine and go back in time to rip your law school application to shreds.

Given that it is provisionally approved, are there any other reason why one should not attend CSL?
I have been told that people have managed to transfer to Wake Forest and U. Richmond so it is not impossible to transfer from there.
dpk711, why do you say not to go there just of strictly transfering?
By the way, thanks for your response.

DO NOT go to a school with intent to transfer. ONLY go to a school from which you would be comfortable graduating. And based on the fact that you would be discussing transferring before you even get there, it is obvious that you would not be comfortable graduating from there. Everyone else there will have the same goal as you, and the great majority will be unable to transfer out. Don't rely on the rare anecdotes of those who transferred out because you haven't been exposed to the anecdotes of the 95% of students who are stuck there.

Does CSL have a PT program? I'm pretty sure I know someone who transferred from Charlotte to SMU.
