American to UCLA/USC? Forum

American to UCLA/USC?

Hi, everyone.

I'm currently 0L planning to attend American this fall.
I went to UCLA for undergrad and have been living in Los Angeles my whole life.
My husband is working here and not able to come to DC with me, and I didn't get into any of the CA schools (all denied/waitlisted).
I'm hoping to transfer back to LA area, specifically UCLA or USC after a year.
I've done long distance relationship, and it's really dreadful... I'm hoping to minimize the time apart.
What does it take to transfer from American to UCLA/USC?
Any thoughts or advice are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

I think bk hit it on the head. Also, sit out, retake, reapply to California schools.
