GULC (Georgetown) c/o 2013 Transfer

Post by Coolgrnmen » Sun Feb 13, 2011 12:08 am

I've been looking and looking and I didn't find a forum set up for transfer applicants to Georgetown.
Figured it would be a good idea.

Top 10% at Tier 3
Interning for a Federal Judge this Summer
Application submitted 2/1
Application Complete 2/7

I emailed Corey in the admissions office and he said that they won't be reviewing any applications for a couple of weeks.

Good luck everyone

Already submitted my EA app for transfer. Looking to lateral because my wife will be living in DC.

There was an EA thread already, but most people in there I don't think had applied yet.

Could you link the EA thread? I only found the one from last year...

Very nice...where else you applying? Gtown can't be your #1 choice with those stats...

Pretty good, but with those numbers you'd probably be able
To break into the T6. Especially UChi early decision transfer

I hope that you're right!

You think its worth it to put the ED app to UChi? I know I'm <5% at HYS even if I finish #1 in my class after this semester, but I'm not sure about ending up in Chicago. If it weren't binding, I'd put the app out there for sure.

I think it is worth it and if my grades were high enough I would have been applying for it...

You don't have to bump the threads. They were still on the first page of the transfer forum, and easy to spot for anyone looking for the GULC transfer threads.

Everytime it gets bumped, I get more poll votes...people don't go looking for polls

This may be so, but your poll is completely irrelevant and will neither help you, nor other people considering transferring to GULC or elsewhere. If I'm wrong, then please, enlighten me on why it is important. If you think you will get in by default (that other people will not be interested) you are seriously mistaken.

I'm not looking for help...it's a poll...a gauge...not irrelevant.

Just because you aren't interested...

A gauge for what purpose that outweighs the annoyance of your bumping the thread multiple times? The forum would be a shitshow if everyone were allowed to bump at their convenience. The poll is fine, but when you are bumping the thread incessantly, the burden of your proving the usefulness of the poll is higher.

Incessantly? Burden of proof? Really?
Look up the definition of incessantly and then look at how many times I've "bumped" it.
Screw your "burden."

Fine, screw the burden. Your poll is worthless and your message board etiquette sucks.
