Re: Top 10% at a T40. Chances at GULC EA?
Pretty good shot, definitely worth the app. See:

Not sure if applying early changes anything, as I haven't scoured the limited data on that. General consensus on 1L admissions is that it does. Can't think of any reasons offhand why that would differ for transfer admissions.
As for your chances, all we can do is scour the database and threads. GULC EA was unpredictable last year. Several people with numbers far better than yours were held for RD, several were admitted EA with numbers far worse. Definitely worth the app fee, IMO. The bigger question for me, if I were at your school with your numbers is whether transferring to GULC would be worth it at all.
Congrats on killing it first semester. Keep it up and you'll be in a solid position to do well RD for several T14s that will likely bring better job prospects. GL!

TITCR. I didn't get in EA and I was #1 at a T60. RD I got into GULC, Penn, NYU and CLS. The typical transfer axiom is that "transfer admissions are a black box," and GULC EA is probably the best example of that.patrickd139 wrote: GULC EA was unpredictable last year.

Based on my experience last year I would say you won't make EA. Still apply and you will have a really good chance RD.

This was T30 in your last thread. Not that it makes a difference for GULC, but it might for some other T14s...chammer234 wrote:Top 5% at T40.

That's how quickly the school's dropping in rankings. No wonder he wants to transfer..patrickd139 wrote: This was T30 in your last thread. Not that it makes a difference for GULC, but it might for some other T14s...
