LSAT

Post by aingraffia » Mon Jul 19, 2010 4:32 pm

Is one's LSAT score a major factor involved with their acceptance to a transfer school? I understand that the score must come into play, I'm just wondering if anyone has an idea as to how much.

That's just one of those mysteries of human life to which Justice Kennedy alluded so eloquently in Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

The general wisdom here is that your 1L GPA and your school's reputation are the most important factors.

Of secondary and probably minor importance in transfers are previous LSAT score, undergraduate school/record, and "softs."

Unlike regular admissions, however, transfers are difficult to predict on numbers alone.

No no, Kennedy wrote that opinion. Well, it was a jointly authored opinion between him, her and Souter, but for whatever reason Kennedy always gets the credit for that line.
