So its Drexel (unranked, provisionally accredited) versus a T3. If I went to the T3 I know I would transfer out in a year. I really prefer Drexel but if I went there and later decided to transfer to a higher ranked program I would not be able to because you cannot transfer from a program that isn't accredited (without loosing a year of work). What would you do?

This board is very dubious of 0Ls who plan on transferring/are certain they'll be able to transfer - particularly of ones who don't know the difference between 'an' and 'and,' and losing and "loosing" (not a word). I tend to take a more optimistic view... but the majority of the time, if you end up at a T3, there's probably a reason for that and it's foolhardy to assume you'll necessarily be in the top tenth of your class. Of course if you're a massive high LSAT/low gpa splitter - and you're pretty sure that whatever caused the low gpa won't be an issue anymore - then you have good reason to be optimistic.

vanwinkle - In a way it was the best. I applied to only 6 schools - Drexel, the T3, and four in top 10. I have a full tuition scholarship at the T3, was rejected from other 4, and dissatisfied applied to Drexel last minute (but in comparison to T3 I think I could really like it there).

He's being real with you. Theres a 90% chance you won't be able to transfer to any worthwhile school. Don't go to a school with the intention of transferring. You're setting yourself up for failure.

I think I'm going to start banning clueless 0Ls that show up in the Transfers forum. There's no reason for them to be here, except to stir up trouble.

While you shouldn't attend "knowing" you will transfer out, I say take the full scholarship, especially if it is in an area you would like to practice. Based on your options, it all depends on where you want to practice and what your career goals are.

I'd be cautious of drexel. They have no alumni network to help you find a job and are located in a city already dominated by Penn/'nova/Temple.

Also, definitely don't count on transferring.
