DEPAUL Transfer??
I want to transfer to DePaul does anyone know what kind of GPAs are being accepted? How much do they weight all other factors to current GPA?

Re: DEPAUL Transfer??
Have you considered Kent or Loyola? As of a few years ago they were all near each other in the rankings but DePaul has been sliding on their way out of the top 100.

Re: DEPAUL Transfer??
I was accepted in DePaul for fall 2010
1L gpa 3.44/4.00 My school grades on a C curve
The people who work in the admissions office were extremely nice and helpful!
Good Luck!

Accent--
I've been looking to transfer to DePaul after the Fall 2010 semester. DePaul asks for 2 letters of recommendation, with at least one being written by a professor at your previous school. Was it difficult for you to get a professor to write you a letter of recommendation for your transfer?
Thanks for the help,

Re: DEPAUL Transfer??
For transfer students - DePaul requires only 1 letter of recommendation. 100% sure
I asked a professor who I really liked. I did very well in his class. I even brought my exam at the appointment. He asked me if I had an A or A- (I do not know if it makes a difference). I had an A. He even read portions of my exam.
I did not read the letter (he did not send me a copy) but I was accepted in 5 schools out of 6. I am still waiting for decision number 6.
I would recommend that you schedule an appointment, explain why you want him (and not someone else) to write the letter and why you want to transfer. My prof was very understanding. Again, I have not read the letter, but I have the feeling it was a great lor (not just a template with a few changes here and there).
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Opps--you're right, only 1 LOR needed.
Thanks for the help.
