Question about Duke
Does anyone know if Duke considers transfer applicants from Campbell in raleigh? Campbell is ABA approved but not AALS member. Duke's transfer site mentions that transfer applicants need to come from ABA approved and AALS member schools. Is there any way around that? I'm not banking on transferring, but if I was able to pull off being top 5% at Campbell I would love the option of at least applying to Duke. What do you think?

Re: Question about Duke
I've heard that Campbell isn't a member of the AALS. Does Duke require that any school you transfer from be a member of the AALS? If so, you probably can't transfer. If not, why I bet you can!

Re: Question about Duke
Call Duke and ask. And whatever they say, don't go to Campbell with the intention of transferring to Duke. You'd literally have to be no. 1 in your class and even that might not be enough... indeed, this year Duke took ~5 transfers.

This. And I think that "might not be enough" may even be too charitable.Bankhead wrote:whatever they say, don't go to Campbell with the intention of transferring to Duke. You'd literally have to be no. 1 in your class and even that might not be enough... indeed, this year Duke took ~5 transfers.
