Hey y'all, first time poster here with a transfer question. I'm currently at a midwest T2. I have a full tuition scholarship, finished in the top 4%, and am on LR and Moot Court (my school is especially strong in moot court). My fiance is attending Brown University in the Fall and I am transferring mostly to follow her, but also for the same reasons as anyone else (stronger school, better employment, etc...)
I applied to Harvard and Yale (don't bother mocking me I know its impossible but why not but my name in for a miracle) as well as Boston College. Going on the assumption that I'll only get into Boston College, would it be worth it to transfer. I could survive being away from my fiance for two years but would then want to move east to be near her when I seek employment.
I don't care about BigLaw, I want to work in public interest law, maybe criminal like the public defender route or maybe civil, finding a small civil liberties firm that does 1983 cases and whatnot.

Re: Stay or Go???
ignorant 0L replying here so please disregard my stupidity. The big issue should be: do you want to stay in the midwest or work in the northeast? Almost all law students work within 200 miles of where they graduate from. If you want to live and work in the midwest then stay and start networking there. If you either don't care or prefer the northeast then transfer.
Transferring from a T2 to a T1 can only help your job prospects. And the students in BC won't be any smarter than at your school.
