I went under review on 6/29 and then on 7/1, the date changed to 7/1 and stayed that way until it went to "7/9 Offer of Admission"

Under review. I'm a little disturbed by how quiet this forum is, it's as if everyone got in somewhere and is getting drunk.

Re: Penn - Under Committee Review
Top 5%, about .03 above the top 5% cutline (more than that I don't know, I could be third in my class, I could be sixth), t35 school. Supposedly, and I emphasize supposedly, such stats guarantee you a place in t6 world, and maybe even a shot at H[definitely not Y]S. But I'm not quite sure.

Is the fact that I went under review today and haven't been admitted yet a bad thing? (For me, I mean.) In the past the turnaround hasn't always been so fast but it is getting later in the season.

When is the deadline to particupate in Penn's OCI? I'm a little hesitant to deposit and lose my money if I get into NYU or Columbia.

The deadline for regular students is the 20th, but from what I've heard, they reserve spots for transfers. Congrats on your acceptance.johndoe wrote:When is the deadline to particupate in Penn's OCI? I'm a little hesitant to deposit and lose my money if I get into NYU or Columbia.

Dewey - you think I should hurry up and send in my deposit (due July 19), or wait until I hear back from CLS and NYU? I don't want to get shut out of OCI.

Re: Penn - Under Committee Review
I'm pretty sure after the regular bidding deadline (on the 20th) passes they still reserve OCI bids for transfers. So I wouldn't worry about it. Similarly, the write-on for regular students was awhile ago but transfers can write on in August.johndoe wrote:Dewey - you think I should hurry up and send in my deposit (due July 19), or wait until I hear back from CLS and NYU? So yeah, if I were you I'd wait until Friday or Saturday to send in the deposit.

How many firms are you allowed to bid on in Penn's OCI?

Re: Penn - Under Committee Review
Does everyone's status checker have a line for "seat deposit" in the Fees section (lower left corner)?
Also, morbid question but useful for those still waiting: has anyone been turned down by Penn yet?

Re: Penn - Under Committee Review
Does anyone have any idea what the lowest class % or rank Penn has accepted in the past? I imagine this depends on the ranking of the school of origin--mine's T25-30. I've tried to sign up for and use the yahoo transferapps group to search for things like this, but I've always been immediately bombarded by spam (some of which is apparently coming from my own email address). Thanks in advance.
