Do I need to send an addendum/email?

Post by accent » Sun Jun 27, 2010 6:00 pm

Hello,

I recently submitted transfer applications. In the meantime, I was also interviewing for internships. I received an offer(after submitting the apps) and I will be starting tomorrow.

Do you think that I should send my updated resume (via mail) or just an email will suffice? I want the admissions committee to know about my internship. Please help!!! It is time sensitive.

Thanks in advance!

If you had no summer experience listed on your resume, I think it could only help you to let the schools know that you are "employable."

I do not have anything listed for this summer. Do you think an email will be enough?

Thanks. I will send them an email. Hopefully, they won't forget to print it out and put it in my folder.

Danteshek, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I know you are trying to transfer to DC.

Email them. If they don't send you a confirmation email in a day or two then call them to confirm that they received it.

You are right. I should call to double check. I do not want to call too often, but I have the feeling that if I do not call my file will never go to complete status.

This is a conversation between me and the admissions office::
Me: Good afternoon, I am calling in regard with my transfer application. I would like to check whether you have received it. ohh, I and I want to confirm you received my transcript and a letter of good standing.
Admissions Office: Ok, let me see. What is your name
Me: I spell my name
Admissions Office: No, we do not have it yet.
Me: Well, I have a usps confirmation that you have received the package on .......
Admissions Office: Your name again, please
Me: spell my name
Admissions: Aaaa, sorry. It is here.
Me: how about the transcript
Admissions: No, we do not have your transcript
Me: I have a confirmation that it was sent on.... and my check was cashed on
Admissions: Let me check in a different pile. it will be just another moment
Me: OK, take your time
Admissions: yes, we do have it. It was stuck in a different pile

If I had not insisted, they were going to keep saying "we do not have it". The same thing happened with another law school. I am wondering if it just happened to me or everybody has experienced "no, we do not have your application." It is extremely frustrating...
