T20-25, 4.14 GPA, Rank 1
Hey all...hoping to get some feedback on my chances. I'm at a T20-25 and finished with a 4.14. That put me at 1 in my section, but not sure how that translates into the class as a whole. UGPA was 3.99, and 166 LSAT. Wondering mostly about Harvard, 'cause my fiancee's already in Boston.
Gracias.

There is only one way to find out for sure. Good luck!
P.S. If they don't admit someone ranked number one from a top 25 law school, then why accept transfer applications?

I think the reason that no one is responding is because the reply is simple: you have a very good chance at Harvard! You deserve it. Congrats on kicking ass!

Thanks! I'm an over-worrier...which had both a positive impact on my grades, and a negative impact on my relationship with my fiancee, haha...

Ok, is everyone in this thread flaming or what?
Edit: RC fail. I thought OP was a 0L and was trying to get into Harvard with a 166.

Another Q: I've seen questions about the fact that "strong applicants" at Harvard would have been good 0L applicants. How much would having been wait-listed last year help my chances? I didn't note that anywhere on the app., so hopefully, if they do consider it, they go back to look!
Anyone have a clue how they consider a previous wait-list?
Thanks!
PS: What do "Flaming" and "RC Fail" Mean?

THey'll know you were a former WL, they should have a file for you already, and he meant he misread your post.wabash wrote:Another Q: I've seen questions about the fact that "strong applicants" at Harvard would have been good 0L applicants. Probably the most helpful thing was starting my outlines basically on the first day of class. Then, I'd update the outlines every weekend. This only took 4 or 5 hours every weekend, and saved me a lot of time come finals.rman1201 wrote:What's your secret?wabash wrote:Hey all...hoping to get some feedback on my chances. Great job! I think you have a legitimate shot at HYS. VERY good shot at CCN, and the rest is yours for the taking my friend.

OP it's very likely that you'll be admitted; last year, for instance, I know a current H student who transferred with a similar rank from a much lower ranked school (T50-40). Just make sure your applications are pristine; your former wl will obviously have a positive impact as well. Good luck!

+1. Bookmarking is for chumps... It's just less efficient. Now if someone redid things so that your bookmarks would show up under "view your posts," that would be another story.Stanford4Me wrote:Actually I have, but this works better for me.MrKappus wrote:4500+ posts and you haven't discovered the bookmark feature. Well it makes more sense with the sentence that follows your quote. It's much easier and quicker to click "view your posts" and view everything you've ever posted in when you visit TLS, as oppose to clicking on "view your posts" to view your posts, and then going through the user panel and looking at your bookmarks.MrKappus wrote:This doesn't even make any sense. How is that?bwv812 wrote: And tagging is for selfish assholes (who make everyone else less efficient).
And FWIW, I bookmarked with I first came to TLS (way too long ago) but soon realized how much easier it is to simply tag.
