Fordham app

Post by newyorker69 » Wed Jun 23, 2010 2:54 am

I applied to Fordham back in march, have all required documents in, and have yet to receive a single email confirming they recieved my application. Anyone else hear anything, particularly status check info?

I only submitted last week, but I also sent an email with my unofficial transcript and didn't receive a response to either. Strange since their status checker went out less than 24 hours after I sent my 1L app last year.

Yep. But since I'm not counting on a job from OCI ITE anyways it didn't seem like as big of a deal as it probably should.

Is this only for the first year after transferring or for the rest of the time there? If its just the first year then no biggie, but if all years then there is an issue.

Then the 75k a year COL+ tuition is worth it how for Fordham?

It's only early interview week (EIW) that transfers can't participate in. I asked about this personally. Interview weeks 1-8 are open to transfer students.

why are you transferring in to the pt program and then interviewing the year after? if so, good question.

Frankly, I agree. Our transfer class isn't really big enough that it hurts us, and it just encourages well informed students to go elsewhere. I hope they change it. I have always loved our school (even when criticizing), and everyone who comes here should have that chance.

Are you asking about our OCI?

LOL, as to the former, we expect things to pick up slightly this year. As to the latter, I am probably the wrong one to ask.

So can someone explain Fordham OCI a bit better, because I'm confused now. There are 2? I always thought the first week was the important one and the following weeks were callbacks?

The first week is for the largest firms (followed by callbacks), then weeks 1-8 in the fall are for smaller firms and government agencies.

Anybody hear anything yet? I emailed them today just to confirm that they received my transcript/letter of good standing.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

I got an e-mail from them. They said they just started looking the applications today. Well technically not today, yesterday 14th.

It's perfectly adequate. Not much to look at from the street view. I feel bad because we do have some very nice green space (I forgot the name of the area) just most of the public can't see it because they wouldn't even be allowed into the school in the first place. The Upper West Side is enough of a campus for me.....being able to attend Fordham is kinda like icing on the cake
