LSAC Questions
I didn't want to clog up the official transfer thread anymore, so everyone ask your LSAC questions here! I'll start: I submitted a number of applications before my 2nd LOR was in, some schools were sent an updated report when it arrived, but some weren't. Is it normal for them to not all get updated at the same time? One is Columbia so I know it has nothing to do how many a school required since they want 2.

Re: LSAC Questions
The only thing I can think of is to double check to make sure you have that letter assigned to each school you want it to go to.

Re: LSAC Questions
Hmm, I'm pretty sure I did. Maybe I'm being too impatient and LSAC just hasn't updated yet because I just noticed one status checker is showing the letter, but LSAC claims they haven't sent it to them. Weird.

Re: LSAC Questions
When NYU emailed me my User Name and Password they said they would request my LSDAS report from LSAC in the near future and that I could check LSAC to see if the request has been made.
Does anyone know how to do this/tell when a school has requested that report?

Once you've signed in to LSAC, look for the menus at the top of the page, from there: Apply > Report Status.

Re: LSAC Questions
Kinda a variation of the above question. If you send your 1L transcript to LSAC and it has been processed and then you apply to your prospective schools, I assume LSAC will send your 1L transcript along with your report to each school. However, what about schools such as Michigan that ask you send the transcript directly from your law school? Did you guys send one just in case? Or allow them to pull from LSAC?convicted wrote:If you sent in your transfer applications before LSAC received your law school 1L-year transcript, after they do receive the transcript, do they automatically send it out? Do you need to take any manual action to have them send it out?

Re: LSAC Questions
Yes, if they specifically asked to have it sent straight from law school, I did. There's no way to chose who gets a transcript from LSAC so they're getting it twice, it's their problem what they decide to do with the extra copy. Maybe they use it on a dart board to decide who gets in.

Re: LSAC Questions
It varies depending on the school. Some schools requests updated LSAC reports every week or every other week. So whatever you send in to LSAC will be updated eventually depending on when schools request it.
