Hi, I'd like to start off by wishing everyone good luck and success on your transfer applications. I can see by the quantity and quality of posts in these forums that a lot of students have put in plenty of time and effort in to their efforts to transfer and I hope you all succeed.
Regarding the personal statement, does anyone have advice on how to format the statement? Should there be page numebers at the bottom? Do you have a title at the top or even just your name and title "personal statement" at the top as a header? Do you just have the body of the text without any identifying material in either the beginning or the end?
Also, I have to write one that is double-spaced, 12-pt font, and I am fighting to find space for every single line. Has anyone adjusted the normal margins (1 inch on each side) to something a little lower to make space for more text? Please let me know if you have any helpful advice. Thank you so much!

Re: Personal Statement Formatting Help Needed
I included a centered title. Probably something like "Personal Statement for Transfer Admission to [School]"
Name and LSAC# in the top-right header.
Don't remember about page #s. Perhaps I put one on the 2nd (last) page. No big deal.
Finally, avoid playing with margins. 1" is sufficient. If your school has a limit, respect it and be concise. Even if you add a good line or two by playing with the margins, the benefits aren't worth the costs of possibly looking amateurish by cramming it all in.
Good luck!

What do you mean? Like, "Introduction" or "Conclusion" headers/captions? Nooooo don't! Yes, just "body of text" will be fine, title or not.Do you just have the body of the text without any identifying material in either the beginning or the end?
