Any chance at CCN or Penn?
Is it worth it to try for GULC?

I'd like to clerk or work in Government and then eventually go into private practice.

I'd estimate:
Very small shot at CCN
Shot at Penn
Good shot at GULC

i'd apply to all 5, if you'd prefer to attend each over Fordham. Your likelihood of getting a clerkship will probably increase at all 5. Your access to government jobs will probably increase, too. the only thing anyone on here can do for you is give an extremely rough estimate based on the transferapps data and any anecdotal evidence he/she is aware of. the transferapps data speaks to the unpredictable nature of transfer admissions. you have a shot at all 5, imo. obviously, you have a much better shot at G than you do at CCN. if the app fees aren't a huge burden and if i would attend any of the 5 over my current school, i'd apply to all of them

I don't think transferring is going to significantly increase your ability to get the job you want. Maybe for clerking, but if you want a federal COA clerkship you're probably not going to get one either way with that rank.transfer1005 wrote:Any chance at CCN or Penn?

I agree with this, and would also add that if you want DC then definitely send Gtown the app, but for NY you may be better off keeping the class rank than being a random transfer at Gtown. When does Fordham release specific class rank?mistergoft wrote:I don't think transferring is going to significantly increase your ability to get the job you want. GULC app is long past the deadline.
I'd say worth applying to Columbia and NYU. Chicago takes a very small class size, so I think your chances are slim. I wonder, though, whether these schools view Fordham as akin to a T20 -- making it easier to transfer from it.

A friend of mine got into NYU from Fordham, he was top 25%.
He was outright rejected as a 0L, I think he had a 163 LSAT, 3.4 GPA.
He was rejected by Columbia, Chicago.
