Berkeley question
Should I have taken a moment in my personal statement to point out that my personal reasons to seek transfer to Boalt are sufficiently compelling to motivate the move despite the fact that I would be attending a lower-ranked school according to our rankings?

Re: Berkeley question
Shouldn't you have mentioned a personally compelling reason to transfer to Berkeley regardless of where your school ranks in comparison? Can you send a LOCI-type email?CMR wrote:Should I have taken a moment in my personal statement to point out that my personal reasons to seek transfer to Boalt are sufficiently compelling to motivate the move despite the fact that I would be attending a lower-ranked school according to our rankings?

Re: Berkeley question
I wouldn't mention rankings at all. As long as you made sure that they know you want to go there, it doesn't matter at all if you wrote I would leave my 4 or 5 school for number 7. I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Berkeley question
This fell a bit flat. I was referring to - --LinkRemoved-- - and our trouncing of Boalt.

People on this site are hopelessly slow and gullible. Good job man, I thought it was funny.

OP wasn't funny. It was stupid. Kind of like your last two posts in this thread.A'nold wrote:Yeah. Re: Berkeley question
I like to think that it was good in substance, but poor in execution.

Re: Berkeley question
It would have been funny if I (or anyone else) had known you went to Cooley.

I could edit, but then I think it would lose its value as a lesson.Bankhead wrote:It would have been funny if I (or anyone else) had known you went to Cooley.

Re: Berkeley question
This describes it much better than "stupid." I was hungry and cranky. Sorry all.Bankhead wrote:It would have been funny if I (or anyone else) had known you went to Cooley.
