From Thurgood Marshall (unfortunately)
Can anyone help me out here. First of all I am currently at a t4 school (thurgood marshall unfortunately). I just received my 1L grades and I should be anywhere between top 10 to 15 percent of my class (not sure until the end of the week but I am basing it off of last years gpa rankings; i doubt it will change much because the school cannot afford to give everyone scholarships. 3.0 and above gets a scholarship). I have applied to three schools which are all in texas. Texas Tech, U of H Law Center, and UT Austin (I can dream cant I). Do I have any real shot at any of these schools?? I was in the military; I am unsure how much that would factor into it. I also made the deans list for this year...

You may want to try OU. Dean Evans is a great man and REALLY enjoys transfer veterans as he's a retired Army Colonel. I can say that I have a good friend at U of H in the top 15% that tried to transfer to UT and was denied this pass cycle so take that for what it's worth. Good Luck

If you're at a T4 school and you're just outside the top 10%, you probably have a shot at transferring to mid/lower T2. Anything higher than that is unlikely, because there are too many kids from T3's, T2's, and low T1's that are transferring into the mid/high T1 and T14. That said, transfer admissions are hit 'n miss, so drop as many apps as you can afford and see what happens.

I don't have any personal experience with TSU but from what I hear there are quite a few options for grads in the top percentages of the class. I'm not sure how much of that has to do with firm diversity quotas since many of the students are URM but from what I can tell the top percentages do pretty well.
Is there a specific reason why you want to transfer? And if you like Texas I would add SMU to that list
