Worth it to apply to UVA?
Just wondering what everyones thoughts on UVA transfer is. I have been hearing if you aren't in-state that its not really worth applying to. I am at a low T2, top 5%, so probably a long shot anyways but being an out-of-state resident, should I just save myself the 125$?

I'm not applying. Transferapps is not too promising on the matter.

Wow, is it reallly that bad? I thought UVA was a transfer friendly school? I guess I am mistaken, I remembered reading it somewhere though...

Law school numbers says 34 transfers in and I read an article with the dean that said something like "20 transfers is usually about right for us" - so its more transfer friendly (apparently) than 11. That being said, I think 90%+ are UVA residents, the rest are probably those extremely/crazily qualified applicants.
Just check out TransferApps and all those rejections with the comments "out of state resident"

Hate to bother people again with this, but is the general consensus a no? I'm gonna be sending my apps in today or tomorrow...still trying to decide if I want to spend that money. I would just love to go there

If you would love to go there, send in an app. I think ~$75 is worth not having to wonder "what if."

With your numbers, if i really wanted to attend UVA, I would apply. What do you have to lose besides a bit of time and $125?
