Freaking out here......the crickets are going crazy.
Edit: has anyone gone complete or received a decision from the following schools:
Vanderbilt
UCLA- I know that Kings was accepted but anyone else and, if so, did you get a complete notice before getting a decision?
Duke
WUSTL
Minn.- I know there was one person on here.
Notre Dame
Emory
UW-Seattle
For anyone that is wondering about Hastings or Irvine, I am complete at both and they were pretty quick so if you've been waiting awhile you might want to call.

Vanderbilt - Called on 6/14 and they said I was complete. The guy I interviewed with said decisions would be out the second week of July. They don't admit anyone until after their deadline passes apparently.
WUSTL -Also said I was complete when I called on 6/14. Called last week and they said they were "running behind" and decisions would be out in the next two weeks.
Notre Dame - Complete on 6/7 (they told me I was the first complete app...hope that helps!?); called last week and they said decisions should be out some time late this week or early next.
Emory - Complete on 6/11; accepted via email on 6/16!
FYI: my stats are T4, Top 2%

So, you had to call for most of them to say that you've gone complete? Notre Dame is especially freaky as I really want to be accepted there and it is in the target/reach range for me.

A'nold - make some calls man. Inquire about the status of your apps. It'll make you feel a little better.A'nold wrote:WOW, made my stomach lurch a bit, I'm not going to lie. A'nold: seriously I have to agree with MegaTTTron, call these schools and see what the deal is. I was accepted at Emory and prior to acceptance they were horrible about giving out information, and post acceptance they have been extremely informative. In all honesty we're basically number twins, and if I can get accepted then I'd think you'd be a shoo in...considering I have a few blemishes on my "character and fitness."
Granted Emory might not be your first choice but it's certainly not a bad place to end up! Btw, good luck overall...certainly you've cast your net wider than I have, definitely wish I would have applied to a few California schools, just saying is all.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I usually freak out needlessly but it's starting to feel a little more reasonable now. Dang. I'll call them all tomorrow.neV6723 wrote:A'nold: seriously I have to agree with MegaTTTron, call these schools and see what the deal is. All signs point towards Richmond as current school? I'd probably lean towards transferring if I were in your shoes. I know people tend to be cynical about specialty rankings but GW truly has a top notch IP program and is located directly where you want to practice.Big Shrimpin wrote:Alright, throwing my hat in here. /anonymity.
Accepted at GW last week. Current school is a TT not far from DC in secondary market (in which I might have some connections--will need to investigate further, however)/top 13%/won't hear about LR/journals until mid-July (when deposit is due)/current school OCI deadlines are also mid-July (current school's OCI has a tiny group of larger firms coming to campus ).
Engineer with pretty good UGPA, passed patent bar, and I want to do patent law (possibly a mix of pros/lit, depending on the firm, but I'd do either for $ ). I LOVE DC, and I would LOVE to work there. Plus, my gf works there. I'm more or less content with my current school (besides the fact there are no IP faculty and only a few IP/patent classes available--one of which is patent pros which I can pretty much do w/o a law degree), I don't have any scholly money (paying full price--please save the "you're stupid for paying full price at a TT, ITE" comments), and making the move to GW wouldn't cost me THAT much more (I've done the calculations).
Am I crazy to make the jump? I'm still waiting on GULC, Penn, Mich, and Duke. I have little/no chance at PM and D, I know. If you've read my posts on the GULC thread, its apparent that is my top choice--but I doubt I'll get in.

Re: Official 2010 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
Update on my status here, just got my rank today at a low tier 2 and I am top 18% I applied to
GTown EA: my gpa dropped this semester because of one class, i was deferred. No chance here.
GW:
W&M: E-mail went complete today, decisions in mid to late july, possibly august.
W&L:
Emory:
I am sending all my class ranks in tomorrow, hoping one school gives me a chance. Any thoughts?

Re: Official 2010 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
Hello!
Just started perusing these boards.
I'm currently around the top 10 - 20% (school that doesn't rank) at a T30 school in the midwest, with personal reasons to want to get out of where i was in the midwest to the east coast. I applied to GW, Fordham, NYU, Harvard, Penn, and GULC. I also applied to Berkeley since I'm from that area.
I've already received acceptances from GW, GULC (I was deferred EA) and Berkeley. Half the time I have my heart set on Penn, and the other half I am super excited about moving to DC and going to GULC. I'm not holding my breath for NYU or Harvard, and regardless, I think i would prefer to be in DC or Philadelphia anyway.
Good luck to everyone in their cycles!
