Official Brooklyn Law School Transfer Thread
Hi All,
Seeing as some other school have an "official thread," I figured I'd create one for Brooklyn Law School. Let's use this forum to discuss all things BLS. I know many on this site do not appreciate BLS; however, some of us would really like to transfer there in the fall - so keep it nice
Has anyone heard anything about their application?
Looking forward to a positive discussion!

35 view and not a single reply? Even if you haven't heard anything, has anyone else applied?

In the spirit of showing restraint, I would imagine no one has replied to this thread because very few people on top-law-schools are even thinking of transferring to BLS, let alone ballsy enough to post about it.JR233270 wrote:35 view and not a single reply? That said, 35 views isn't that many on a site with this much traffic. You could probably get 35 views by creating, say, a transfer thread about Brooklyn Law School.

I might be there with you in the fall!
It'd be a transfer down for me, but I don't want to live where I'm currently going to school, and I'd be much better off in a real city.
I really hope I'm not there with you in the fall.

tbh I don't really hate anything about the school. I've liked all my profs, just want to graduate from a better school and wouldn't mind a student body that's slightly more intellectual, for lack of a better wordengineer wrote: What do you hate the most about BLS?

Just received my acceptance e-mail, so if I'm dinged by Columbia, NYU, and Fordham I'll also be there in the fall.

Thanks for your well-wishes, Debbie downer. I'm working big law this summer... so I'm sure whatever my "hopes" are are within my reach.patrickd139 wrote:I really hope you don't have your sights set on biglaw...Best of luck!narrowlytailored wrote:Just received my acceptance e-mail, so if I'm dinged by Columbia, NYU, and Fordham I'll also be there in the fall.

Personal reasons aside, the short of it: gotta upgrade. Can't graduate from a T4. Maybe I'm a bit of a prestige whore (hence Columbia and NYU being among my list), but I'm also realistic about long term employability. For the things I want to do, a T4 will hold me back. Especially my school which isn't taken seriously here in NYC. I landed my summer internship despite my current school.. I don't want to have to continually do that. At BLS I won't as much.patrickd139 wrote:You're welcome! Why transfer?narrowlytailored wrote:Thanks for your well-wishes, Debbie downer. I'm still skeptical the bolded isn't going to remain the same at BLS, but I (genuinely) hope you're right. Srsly, good luck!narrowlytailored wrote: Personal reasons aside, the short of it: gotta upgrade. Can't graduate from a T4. Yeah, me too. Wherever I end up, I'll just continue to aim for top 5%. Even at BLS, I'm confident that'll be enough for biglaw.patrickd139 wrote:I'm still skeptical the bolded isn't going to remain the same at BLS, but I (genuinely) hope you're right.
