Hey guys, I'm applying for early action to Georgetown, I'm currently at Santa Clara. My 1st semester GPA was 4.11 (they use a 4.3 scale) which is well within the top 5% (the cutoff is usually 3.8 ), I'm probably #1 but they don't release rankings until the spring.
I'm applying to G-Town for early action, and eventually NYU/Columbia after the spring semester.
Has anyone had a similar experience or transferred to G-town from a similarly ranked school like Santa Clara, or close to that with similar grades?
Thanks,
-Puke

Grade inflation, ftw!
On a serious note, based on the numbers, you've got as good a shot as anyone at GULC EA. Columbia and NYU are a different story. That's where the difference between being number 1 and well within the top 5% is going to be huge.
Congratulations on a great 1st semester, good luck, hth, etc.
