Nothing yet. They did seem to be pretty clear in their communications that they would be getting in touch middle of next week through early the following week...but maybe they made an exception for a really really awesome candidate??

I have amazing, reasonably priced housing very near the law school with a great roommate (who will also be a 2L), but I am transferring myself so need someone to take over the lease. Looks like I may end up at Mich by default. Cornell just sent a memo if we didn't enroll by 7/8, then we can't participate in the big NY job fair. I e-mailed for clarification because I haven't heard of this happening there in the past. At Michigan the deadline date for OCI isn't until 7/20 (and even after that, they'll still try to get you in).

It's too bad, because I was leaning Cornell based on family connections, convenience and comfort .

You should have gotten the e-mail as well that has the info. I'm going to try e-mailing again later.
As for my current slight preference for Cornell -- it's pretty much personal (I prefer NY/NJ to the midwest for working, it's an easy drive home if need be, and am very familiar with the law school). But I can't go if I can't do OCI.

I just withdrew form Penn, so hopefully that opens up a spot quickly. I'm down to NYU or stay at current school, though Columbia still doesn't even have me at "complete" yet. Likely putting down NYU deposit tomorrow, and if Columbia comes back with good news, I will have another hard choice to make.

I've been "completion pending" at CLS since July 6th, which is when I turned my application in. Columbia should have all of my application materials since I sent everything but the LSAC materials well before the 6th. I emailed them three days ago to see if anything was missing, but I haven't heard back. Is it normal to be completion pending for so long?

Yeah. I was "completion pending" for over two weeks after I had my materials in. And then all of a sudden - one day "complete," the next accepted.

Did anybody receive an admit from Harvard who only sent an unofficial 1L transcript with their application. That's what I did (I only just recently had my final official transcript sent) so I'm wondering if maybe they don't call until they have the official transcript. Website says they make tentative decisions based on photocopies and unofficial copies but don't known if tentative means they call.

HLS traditionally gives transfers exactly one week from whenever they're notified to decide. Having spoken with a bunch of transfer admits, I'm pretty sure they're doing the same this year. I think Vanwinkle's hypothesis of another wave on or around 7/25 is definitely possible.

Also, I'm not surprised things are moving earlier for HLS because OCI got bumped to a week or two earlier than it was last year.

Lol yeah thats def expected. My NYU acceptance package was covered in "Class of 2014" things. I submitted a bit later than you by a few days, so I'm hoping for a decision sometime next week.

Wow, really!? I don't understand what is up with them. I'll never forget that they waitlisted me while all their peer schools were happy to have me. And now that I'm likely transferring into NYU, I'm glad I get to spite them for it. Yes, I hold major grudges

That's insane. Do you have like a poison letter of rec or something? Is your school super sketchy?

My letters of recc should have both been really good... I also had really good softs (2 CALIs, won mock trial comp., won moot court Comp, school's law review). I'm so confused.

Don't sweat it. These people (adcomms) are potentially the most enigmatic cadre that ever existed. You will be fine. Don't think things that occur at random have any larger significance by assigning some sort of personification to them
