Stinger, at my school, close to g'town, as far as I know no one is DR yet--everyone is under review. Stick to your original theory...it's school by school perhaps, or really, it's just completely arbitrary (i.e. there's a batch of random applications that got decided on, and the acceptances have gone out but not any other notifications, and there's more to render decisions on).

LOL... 100% is the answer...which amounts to literally hundreds.
Jk, but that would be hilarious if one year an entire 1L class somewhere out there all tried that...It's closer to 5-10% at my school, the average rate I think. I meant to say, within the category of transferring students.

Really, that many? I haven't heard a single person hear talk about transferring. I am positive there are some but even when I talk to my professors about it, they act like they haven't talked to anyone about it this year (but have in the past). If I had to guess, I'd say 2-3% max.prncaspian3 wrote:LOL... 100% is the answer...which amounts to literally hundreds.

So far only one person has confirmed that they were accepted, right? So are we just waiting for those close to GULC to receive today's mail?

I feel like I'm about to get dinged w/ an email any second...brutal. I can't decide if it's a good or bad sign that my status went DR early. The two that also went DR have been accepted, but live close to D.C. and received mail today. If I'm luck enough to get a letter, it probably will not arrive until next week.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
If you went DR yesterday, it is most likely an acceptance. Everyone who went DR was Top 5% or better. Those are almost certainly not going to be auto-rejects. Furthermore, two have already received acceptance letters. Therefore, the only question that remains is if there will be another round of admits going out soon; I think that there will be. If not, everyone will have to wait until June.
I'm also done checking this board. Back to outlining Con Law. Good luck all!

Man, I wonder when the next round is going to be released. It is everything I can do to try to freaking outline when all of this is so up in the air (I'm not just talking about GULC either, I'm talking about this whole freaking process).

Nothing in the mail for me today, but our Friday mail comes very early (apparently someone took it in and i was not aware) and taking 2 days from DC is not unreasonable.

Going to DR early is obviously a good thing based on every piece of data we have. I don't know why you are freaking out.moakdaddy wrote:I feel like I'm about to get dinged w/ an email any second...brutal. I can't decide if it's a good or bad sign that my status went DR early. Thanks for the heads up. I joined this forum today, and didn't take time to sift through the entire thread. Nothing in the mail today, but will let everyone know what I find out next week.A'nold wrote:This.apper123 wrote:Going to DR early is obviously a good thing based on every piece of data we have. I went decision rendered on Thursday, and can now log onto the admitted students website. I have NOT yet received my letter, but expect it will be coming! Just an FYI.

I can access it, gives a welcome message with your first name.
About me: School in the 50s, 3.88 (no rank, but around top 3 or 4%), 3.27/low 160s, went to a big public school (a good one). Two LoRs from profs, one from somewhere else but that wasn't a huge thing. Sent an update letter regarding me getting a firm gig this summer. Also pretty legit addendum concerning UG GPA. Lots of clubs both in UG and law school. Was an athlete in UG. Did the diversity statement (multi-ethnic and relevant work experience). Been published for a couple things.
