Incorrect.
All A-'s and an A. fml. still not even top 10%.

Does your school give A+'s?
Nope.
Imagine my surprise when rankings come out 2 days after grades. world = collapsed.

I'm sorry but that's just retarded. What's the curve at your school, a 3.5?

Not necessarily. I didn't say you were an auto-admit if you had all A's and A-'s, only that you weren't if you had anything lower than that

We have a high curve, so I tell myself, okay, at any other school I would have got a few B+'s no big deal, this makes sense. Except when I ask my professors how to do better they tell me the difference between an A and a A- is ARBITRARY and that I needn't worry about it.
AND THEN my school only allows us to report rankings in 5% increments. fml.
/rant.

Right on. I redact my former statement.

Do you not like my

smiley? How about this one:

Just listening to megaTTTron and agreeing that his school has sucky grading policies.

Here at W&L, all A- and one A would not necessarily get you top 10%, depending on which class you got the A in. Top 10 was 3.75 and up. They give an A- here a 3.67. So if you got an A in one of the four credit classes, it would just barely get you there. One of the three or two credit classes though and you'd be short.

Im still sticking with, mabye they are reviewing by groups based on school? I think me and Bankhead are the only apps that I know of from my school, and it seems like htere have been a couple W&L guys.
It would make sense to me to review by school, especially if the school, like ours, doesn't rank after first semester

Didn't acceptances drift over into May last year? And weren't there like 3 rounds of DR for acceptances? Am I mistaken?
Yea, but with the exception of the first two days, decisions come in randomly alternating waves of acceptances and deferrals/ denials. So after tomorrow, everything is up the air.
is this true? so more DRs should be going out today?

Not true - I know several people from my school, some DR some still under review.

Good thought, but I'm going to echo westlexis. I'm the only person out of about 5 from my school that went DR yesterday.

Ok Im normally not mean to people, but your last post was about as insightful as this one, and I am easily agitated while studying Legal Professions.
Everyone at your school is not going to be admitted, so simply some being DR and some being Under review does not kill my theory. If they did review by school, its very possible that your school has some admitted and some not admitted, thus some having DR and some Under review.
Now who knows how they really review apps and I am most likely wrong anyways, but your small sample size speculation certainly doesn't disprove it.

But, that doesn't mean they arent reviewing them together and you were admitted and hte others were deferred/Held/Rejected etc
Its likely if anyone is D/H/R they wouldn't get a status change.

haha. yup good point. I'm going to blame that on a late night of outlining and a lack of coffee this morning.

My school doesn't give out A+'s or A-'s. Pretty ridiculous to me.

Yeh that is odd, but I really think that there are going to be more DRs today. Just as an FYI my status changed yesterday b/t 3 and 4. Good Luck to all you guys today!

If mailed yesterday, a letter to my house would likely arrive today as well. Maybe tomorrow.

Interesting news! Was told by the admissions office that some decisions this year will be by mail, and some will be by email. Do you think the acceptances will be by mail and the rejections by email or vica versa?

For 1L decisions I think that it is mail for acceptances and email for rejections. Don't know about deferred...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
