be ready for them to be rude about it, but it's worth it.

Similar here - processing forever, called and they mistakenly did not realize that my law and undergrad transcripts were bundled together. Then the lady told me that they have all the materials, but my application had not been uploaded to their server yet. She said she didn't know why and hung up. It's still processing. Pretty bummed.I'm still processing at NYU too. I called and they said I had to resend my undergrad documents. Wow.

I hear (read) that they (snail) mail the decision letter while the status checker simply says "decision letter sent"? Can anyone admitted verify this, and while we are at it, how long after UR did the status change to "decision letter sent"?

you would think UR carried some significance, like something material is being done, but considering the dates people went UR compared to today's, I beginning to think an admission officer's metal inbox is becoming a leaning tower of Pisa replicated by manila folders containing our apps...oh the humanity!!!

Anyone heard anything from Stanford or Yale? Or any success on moving back UChi's Monday deadline?

Honestly, I think the date on which an applicant goes UR is about as significant as the number of times an applicant checks her "status check."engineered madness wrote:you would think UR carried some significance, like something material is being done, but considering the dates people went UR compared to today's, I beginning to think an admission officer's metal inbox is becoming a leaning tower of Pisa replicated by manila folders containing our apps...oh the humanity!!!

Highly important? Don't ruin the one tiny semblance of control that I have.floggered wrote:Honestly, I think the date on which an applicant goes UR is about as significant as the number of times an applicant checks her "status check."engineered madness wrote:you would think UR carried some significance, like something material is being done, but considering the dates people went UR compared to today's, I beginning to think an admission officer's metal inbox is becoming a leaning tower of Pisa replicated by manila folders containing our apps...oh the humanity!!!

Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
Do you guys all think that top 5% in a school 50-60 --> GW would be a bad move? Most have said yes, but I wanted to get some extra input. I have to get my deposit in by tomorrow to participate in their OCI and rather not eat the money. I just really don't like my school and my transfer chances are starting to look not so great.

If you REALLY don't like your school, deposit at GW. Worst case, and you get in somewhere you prefer, you can eat the deposit.ms2010 wrote:Do you guys all think that top 5% in a school 50-60 --> GW would be a bad move? I am in the exact same position. I decided to bite the bullet and make the deposit. For me the decision came to the meager OCI's at my 1l school. Doesn't do much good to have good grades and killer softs if you can't tell anybody about it in an interview.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
