T14 Transfer Status Change Thread Forum

A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

It states on the Application Status Checker that email and (snail) mail will be used to notify applicants while the status checker remains the same.

Yeah. For NYC/NJ, it makes it a really close call.

Also, one of the people I work with goes to Cornell Law and says more people than usual are transferring out, so they might be taking more this year.

Did your status change from processing to any intermediate step before receiving your acceptance?

I have been complete for two weeks at Columbia. I don't think it's your fault for submitting late - unless you expect to be the first one notified at EVERY school!

have you called them? i did and it turned out that they didn't realize my law transcripts came with my undergrad transcripts, so they thought i was incomplete.

Kaiser - are you definitely going with Columbia over NYU if Columbia accepts you?

I'm in at NYU w/ a deposit deadline of this Monday. Went complete at Columbia on the 7th, so I doubt I'll be hearing any time soon.

I don't know if I would say "definitely". It would be a hard choice. Columbia was always my dream school, but after I got into NYU, and I started researching it a bit more, I'm really impressed. I'm not even complete yet at Columbia so I don't expect much expediency.

I'm still processing at NYU too. I called and they said I had to resend my undergrad documents. Wow.
