Alright, decision rendered, my surname begins with an S, 4.0, W&L, no softs. A professor said nice things about me. I mean I hope. Oh, and I wrote a 5-page singlespaced essay on why I do law even though I don't like it (just because I'm really good).

No fair, I did the same thing and I'm not DR!

It's not even so much that I am disappointed not getting in EA (even though yeah I'm pretty disappointed) but it makes me wonder if my LOR's were good, ps, etc. It'd be nice getting an EA acceptance even more than just being awesome b/c it tells you that you at least don't have so enormous red flag for when RD stuff takes place this summer.

You realize multitudes of people were accepted after the first round of DR last year, right?

Yeah, unfortunately my Dean of Students hates me and at least one school (Stanford) cares about that shit. So that's an enormous red flag. But anyway, if you're concerned about your recommendations, try other professors. I mean, you probably have a sense of which ones love you.

Not really, what do you mean? Also, sorry for forgetting to congratulate traydeuce! I must say I really do applaud GULC for taking people EA out of like the top 25 top 1% kind of range and accepting very worthy applicants like my friends apper and newyorker. Congrats to everyone, what an achievement!

Didn't acceptances drift over into May last year? And weren't there like 3 rounds of DR for acceptances? Am I mistaken?

Yea, but with the exception of the first two days, decisions come in randomly alternating waves of acceptances and deferrals/ denials. So after tomorrow, everything is up the air.

I do remember seeing something like that on Transferapps but I wasn't exactly sure there were clear rounds. I thought is was like a "someone missed the deadline, let's accept a guy in his place" or that someone withdrew and opened up a spot or something. That's interesting that they might be doing rounds.

kings, I think the lack of a first semester ranking killed our or at least your chances.

Thanks A'nold. I'm not getting my hopes up yet even though I'm happy b/c I dont want to be disappointed. However, dont fret, I think you have a great shot and I definitely thing this isnt the end of the first wave of admits.

Thanks. You guys really deserve this and I'm extremely excited for you! I know that it is not a "sure thing" yet, but there are a lot of pretty solid inferences that when taken together look almost certain. I would be doing some major hedging too b/c that would be sucky to get your hopes so high and it not be what we think. I am at least 95% sure you guys are in though, so wohoo!
