Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
So that's interesting. Here's hoping we get something either tomorrow or Wednesday. I need to send in my money to GW sooner or later... And I would prefer to send it to GULC.
Keep in mind that there are subtle variations each cycle. Who knows what variations will occur this year to throw people off of their safety cushions. That being said, I think people will likely be able to get their un/pw either tomorrow or Wednesday, and at least have access to the site by Wednesday.
If no access or no status update by then...well, I'll leave it at that. I don't want to be Mr. party pooper.

One bright note (hopeful...) for some of us is that all the people who posted they got deferred, which wasn't a lot, was that they had no status changes until 4/25.TTTehehe wrote:So that's interesting. For those who haven't had a status update yet, last year, there was a 3rd day that some people got updated and got in.

Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
Well, we will all know till Friday. Hopefully we do not get another flutter of status changes and then get all excited then the Monday group gets all doubtful, and then they get one on Wednesday so the last Friday group gets doubtful.
I do not think this process is predictable at all this year.

This is what I am hoping. The fact that there are still people out there who have not had status updates means that we may be in. (Not to piss on the non-status updated people by any means)lnllnl wrote:One bright note (hopeful...) for some of us is that all the people who posted they got deferred, which wasn't a lot, was that they had no status changes until 4/25.TTTehehe wrote:So that's interesting. Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
Checking in on this thread is bringing back memories from last year. Comparing this year's calendar with what happened last year, I got an e-mail asking for spring classes along with a status update earlier today (mon), got the password tomorrow along with another date update (tues), and got access to the site wed night right after midnight. Then I got the letter this upcoming saturday. If they follow last year's timetable this is probably the week things get moving.

So people should be able to access the website tonight then? Also, was someone going to call the office today. Someone mentioned this yesterday. Restore our sanity please.

Now I am completely confused... maybe this is them just reviewing everyone in batches. My status has not changed again.TFR wrote:status update 4/24

Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
OK, it seems that GULC is giving everyone a status update and it probably doesn't matter what batch you're in. No one has had any repeats yet, and the date probably means nothing until someone gets another update.TFR wrote:status update 4/24

I remember when I applied as an 0L, I got about four complete dates even though I was an auto-reject with my UGPA. Maybe they're putting their transfers through an initial wringer before sorting us.
In the interest of a scientific approach, I just shook up my Magic 8 Ball, and it told me "Better not tell you now." So, yeah, Science says just hold on, OK? Don't question Science, people.

Why don't you call? Being obsessive, and a little girl at the same time, are not desirable character traits.

(1) I have called plenty, so I'm tired of doing it. (2) Being the Internet tough guy is always awesome. It must get you lots of girls.wiglaf1228 wrote:Why don't you call? Being obsessive, and a little girl at the same time, are not desirable character traits.

Perhaps you should leave the admissions office alone, then, and stop encouraging others to creep them out as well.(1) I have called plenty, so I'm tired of doing it. (2) Being the Internet tough guy is always awesome. It must get you lots of girls.

How awesome is it to come back on message boards that serve you no purpose? Do you recommend I go to the Class of 2015 boards and troll so hard also?wiglaf1228 wrote:Perhaps you should leave the admissions office alone, then, and stop encouraging others to creep them out as well.(1) I have called plenty, so I'm tired of doing it. Lets all be civil here. I called them a few days ago and many before that so would have called. Is there anyone out there that is willing to call them to find out when letters will be mailed out? I don't think that is a bad question. The least that they could state is that we will find out in the beginning of May.

It is not trolling, it's advice that will be valuable in the future. Creeping out employers or schools is a bad idea. If you think they do not read these boards, you are wrong.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
