I just realized how often I visit this thread hoping A'nold gets an awesome transfer acceptance. TLS life has officially spilled over to my real life. I'm pulling for you, bud.

Congratulations. I think you did a really good job choosing schools to apply to—nice spread of safeties, targets, and reaches.zcc2012 wrote:Cycle over. Here are my results.

Well, I'm worried now. #1/T4, have already been rejected by UCLA, and am DR and sent by US Mail at Loyola LA. Dante said he was accepted by email, so I feel this does not bode well for me. I guess I'll know tomorrow.

These last schools are killing me! Do I have a chance this late in the game?

Re: Official 2010 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
Having gone complete at Wisconsin on the 7th and hearing nothing since, my experience with other schools leads me to suspect I've been placed in the "second tier" of applications to be given reconsideration if other offers of admission are declined. Is this probably overoptimistic?

That sounds exactly right CMR. Sort of unspoken waitlists that rarely, though sometimes come through.

Re: Official 2010 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
That UF thread just freaked me out about deposit deadlines dictating acceptances.....
Can anybody confirm the next deposit deadlines for any of the following schools? (UW hasn't made decisions yet):
WUSTL
Notre Dame
Emory
Minnesota
Hastings

Re: Official 2010 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
So NYU's status checker went to "Decision letter sent" today. I didn't know if they had an admitted students section on the website, but I poked around and found one.
I entered my info and it let me in. I assume I have been admitted?!?!?!
Pretty excited about this.

Well that wraps up my small transfer session.
Top 40's, slight better than top 5%:
Boalt - rejected; took forever
Columbia - Complete and accepted in about 15 hours
Go figure. Transfer admissions is a crapshoot guys*.
*guys is used in its androgynous form here
Good luck to all
