Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
While Im trying to stay positive, it seems like today all these applicants with outstanding numbers are coming out of the woodwork. There doesn't seem to be a bright line at all between the DR people and the UR people - but that would only cement the idea that transferring is a black box.
Def. does not help my confidence going into exams or the transfer process as a whole. Still, congrats to those DR, who I am assuming are admitted!

I'd be lying to say I wasn't hedging.prncaspian3 wrote:I mean, there's really no GOOD reason to assume this...Just saying. Are you hedging? LolStill, congrats to those DR, who I am assuming are admitted!
However, my good reason to believe this is that first rounds in the past were always acceptance. (As I already stated though, we are somewhat in no mans land as the Under Review category and Thursday afternoon change is new. Even in uncharted territory and given some of the fantastic numbers that are in the DR category, I think it is still a good reason to assume, but probably not a GOOD one.)

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
This is fair, but do we know if the first round is technically even over? That is, I recall seeing that in 2008 and last year, the acceptances went out over a 2 day period (April 8th and 9th?). This is the first day of DR...so is it not safe to assume that more will go to DR tomorrow? However, my good reason to believe this is that first rounds in the past were always acceptance.

I think this would be the safe bet.prncaspian3 wrote:This is fair, but do we know if the first round is technically even over? Edit to say: meaning its safe to think there will be more changes tomorrow

I have to agree. Unless you have some mitigating circumstance that I don't know about, I have to believe that you will get in tomorrow.kings84_wr wrote:I think this would be the safe bet.prncaspian3 wrote:This is fair, but do we know if the first round is technically even over? possible explanation for similar numbers being under DR/UR, entering by alphabetical names? So does anyone under DR have a last name starting with M+?

I expected whoever first gets access to the Admitted Students Site to post it here before telling anyone else, even yourself.
