Stanford Transfer Waiting Thread 2013 Forum

A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

I talked to the dean of admissions at my law school today, and he mentioned off-handedly that Faye was still reading applications on Sunday...

I contacted SLS to give them an updated resume and they responded that they would add it to my file for consideration. So I guess they're still in the office at least...

It's a crucible in which only those who are truly dedicated to the idea of going to SLS over their other options will choose to go when they get accepted in late July or August.

Seriously though, it's past 9 on the west coast. Good luck to those of you waiting for a decision (both for content and timing). Some of us are living vicariously through y'all. (My SO did a year in grad school out in Palo Alto and I was up there as much as possible)

/wince moving down to Palo Alto (or more likely Mountain View) is the only thing about a potential Stanford acceptance I dread.

Just received a communique from SLS admissions:

"Please know that we will begin sending out transfer decisions shortly until the end of July."

I predict sometime next week.
