I have the same question so definitely let us know what they say.

Absolutely no point. I wrote them and got a response saying, essentially, thanks for this information but we don't expedite any decisions, period.

Doubt anything will come out of the office until Monday earliest.

Is anyone here complete but with an unofficial transcript instead of an official transcript?

It would be great to hear something today, but I'm assuming all admissions offices are closed...
They have a skeleton staff in the office today.

Are all admissions offices thin today?

I would think that they wouldn't really have the flexibility to take off today...

First, this is classic America where people turn ONE vacation day into an entire extended weekend and usually when there are pressing deadlines, industries sort of clamp down on that (if you've ever worked in business you'd know).

Second, because next week is already the week of the 8th and I'd assume most of the schools will be issuing acceptances THAT week and need to read all the applications. My understanding is that NYU has a deadline for a downpayment for the week of the 8th (StillWater, you were accepted, you'd know) and I assume anyone who was not notified this past week is a reject. FML.

Yah. This undercutting shit between the schools is quite interesting to me. You'd think maybe they'd have a little compassion for transfer students and the external unrest and stress that accompanies the process- maybe make things easier on us. But being out of sync with one another really makes things worse...

I called NYU and they're open; but as the previous poster said, doesn't sound like its a full staff nor are they really doing any serious work. I'm still confused about this 7/8 deadline for them then. The guy told me that they will be issuing decisions up until August (Don't tell me to post in the NYU thread, I don't care).

As for the rest of them it seems Stanford is open. Yale is closed. Haven't heard from H yet. There, I mentioned H. Now it belongs in this thread.

i think the 7/8 deadline was for the initial batch. as the process is rolling, it makes sense for somewhat compact deadlines so they can get am estimate of their yield

So what are you all doing with the deadlines? Double depositing? Just going to NYU? Taking your chances with an H/Y/S/C/C acceptance? This does seem like a really tough position for schools to put transfers in.

Yeah well then that sucks for the initial batch. If I'm gonna be an admit I'd rather it happen down the line so I can see where all the chips fall.

As said, this is a pretty unfair system.

Quick question to all...what was everyone's turnaround on the time it took from application received to application ready for review?
