A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. It doesn't seem like UCLA is quiiiite done with this cycle - just got a call 20 minutes ago.

Is there any interest in creating a UCLA Law Transfers-2013 Facebook page? If so I can set one up. Seems like an easy way for us transfer student to connect right away.

Went to the Transfer Welcome Session. To those of you who couldn't make it, most of the info was in the documents they have emailed us/that are online. Was told that there were 290 transfer applicants and they will be accepting between 30-40 (will be...makes it seem like they could admit a few more). There were about 10-15 people at the session, mostly people from CA schools.

Feel free to ask any questions about it.

Accepted via phone call 7/12. Was fully prepared to attend before getting another call closer to home. Will think about it and probably opt out early next week. Hope my slot goes to good use!

T2 in 70s top 3%.

How about some advice. I'd like to work in southern California so I think it is best to transfer but am having trouble deciding. I would be leaving behind law review and 22k per year scholarship to go. The oci at my current school is weak but I don't want to strike out at UCLA because I'm a transfer student. What do you think is my best option?
