I'm still under review 7/9. For whatever that's worth.

Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
Wednesday pushes the boundaries of what most would consider "early in the week," but Thursday is full-on late in the week. Hopefully everything hits at once today: confirmation emails for ED admits and all the admits for RD. Then we can really get the party started in the "official 2012" thread (or the sob stories started in the FML thread).

I just switched to under review 7/14. Is there really someone sitting there updating the dates? Why do they bother? Maybe their software automatically does it when they pull up your file?

This is all so mysterious. I wonder what this all means.
But it is my impression that it updates when they access your file. Most schools have an automatic system for this as far as I know. (but that is me basing it off of two schools)

Did you guys get an e-mail with the status checker information? I'm pretty sure my application is complete but I never got an e-mail with that information.

I got the status-checker e-mail the day after I submitted my app, sometime in May.

I think most people got status checker emails. I did two days after I submitted my application I believe.
Also got a nice e-mail from Chicago about bidding for OCI . . . but not the email I wanted right now.

I don't think I ever got the status checker e-mail when I applied from undergrad either. Oh well, at least I can't obsess over every single change. That OCI information would be nice though.

Kev, on your status checker page, have they checked the box for "official transcript"? I sent mine in two weeks ago, and they haven't updated the page. Maybe they don't bother because we're already accepted, but that doesn't stop me from checking every couple hours.

Oh the OCI information was because I am an ED admit. So I wouldn't worry about that too much. Most important thing in it is the list of participants comes out this Friday. Till then not much to do.Lawrence wrote:I don't think I ever got the status checker e-mail when I applied from undergrad either. Oh well, at least I can't obsess over every single change. Bizen - They said that the box won't be checked, the transcript they mean for that is your undergrad transcript and one sent directly from your law school. But we are supposed to be told to do this after confirmation emails.
-The best way to check and see if your transcript is in is probably to check/call LSAC.

Oh ok, that makes sense. Thanks. According to LSAC the transcript was received a while ago.

I got into my status checker and I'm under review 7/14 as well. Hopefully we all have some good news coming this afternoon.

Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
Im starting to question if today is the day . . . I still believe it is because of how late in the day i was originally contacted, thursday is hard to see as early next week, and the fact that I think the adcoms may try to get some answers out before the Boalt deadline on the 15th (but who knows if they even look at that).
But who knows they can theoretically take as much time as they want.

Thursday isn't early in the week, but decisions often come later than they're promised.

Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
I'm really hoping to hear one way or the other today or at the latest tomorrow. Transferring would be a pretty tough decision for me and I'd want to visit before making the commitment. But, the only times I could make it up to Chicago before I'd have to make a decision would be this Thursday or Friday. Don't really want to drive to Chicago without an acceptance in my hand though. I guess I could take a day off of work at my internship to go up there, but that's definitely not ideal.

You guys have built this up so much that now I am excited even though I didn't apply to Chicago.

This doesn't seem to be going so well. Should status checkers have updated by now if this were the day?

Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
I got the call at the same time as Kevzez, and the follow up email was sent after 5:00 ET. There may still be hope for finding out today. On the other hand, there are likely more calls to be made for RD than there were for ED, so one would think they would start earlier. Who knows!

Is there really any risk in calling?
