Nice picture LawSt... that is how I look right now waiting to hear news...
I do not have the USA in my mail info.... And unfortunately I am too far from DC and sitting in Con Law to go knock on the back door and say hello to the admissions staff/ ask them my status
Bummer!

Other people said that their address boxes also had abbreviations like ave. and # spelled out to Avenue and Number and then they were able to generate a password soon after. Also, these changes accompanied date changes. Here's the thread if you want to look for more clues.TTTehehe wrote:Here we go... lolTTRansfer wrote:No USA.Lawst wrote:As much as I enjoy conspiracy theories, I just looked at the GULC 2015 thread, and 0Ls are generating passwords from the ASW, so doesn't seem the loophole is closed.
However, I have stumbled upon a new conspiracy to consider - if USA has been added to your status checker address, it's a good sign. Apparently they don't bother to add the country unless they need to send out a mailing and they only mail acceptances (so said someone in that the thread). One kid in the 2015 thread said the USA was added on a Friday and he was able to generate a password Monday.
So, go chew on that for a while, I guess. I have no USA in my address box, but I don't know if any other 4/20 updates have it or if it even means anything. It makes about as much sense as anything else we're discussing.
Any NON 4/20 updates have USA?

Thanks. Lionel Hutz is my role model. I suppose I should have included that in my application - total auto-admit material.HappyTransfer2012 wrote:Nice picture LawSt... that is how I look right now waiting to hear news...

I doubt if GTown has anything to do with those. The bio appears exactly the same in all of my status checkers. That probably comes straight from LSAC.Lawst wrote:Other people said that their address boxes also had abbreviations like ave. and # spelled out to Avenue and Number and then they were able to generate a password soon after. OK, so I was pretty much chumming the waters for funsies after reading the 0L thread, but I just looked at my GW status checker out of curiosity. It has Apartment and Avenue spelled out and it has USA. I was admitted to GW.
My GULC status checker has apt, ave.. and no country of residence. Maybe this is not so entirely crazy as I had initially thought? Maybe admissions cleans up the addresses for their records when they're actually mailing things out and admitting people?
ETA: I really am a bad influence. We should all be studying right now.

Well, crap. If you're all going to take all the fun out of my tinfoil hat conspiracies, I'm going to have to go back to studying the commerce clause

Given the rate of AIDS prevalence in D.C. that is probably a good thing.

Apartment, Street, and Fifth are all spelled out but no U.S.A. I think they always have been.
