LSAC Statement on Good Admissions practices http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... oodadm.pdf

See page 3:
6.
After April 1, except under binding early decision plans, every applicant should be free to accept a new offer from a law school even though a scholarship has been accepted, a deposit has been paid, or a commitment has been made to another school. To provide applicants with an uncoerced choice among various law schools, no excessive nonrefundable deposit should be required solely to maintain a place in the class.

Are you saying we should forward this to the Admins and ask for our $$$ back?

Haha. This is just saying that you're free to accept any offer that comes after a previous acceptance. Nothing about a refund.

Does anybody know how long after being admitted it takes to get the financial aid notice? I've been in since June 30 with no notice

Has anyone else on the wait list received a similar email - see below - take this as what?

I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing because our Admissions
Committee continues to be very interested in your candidacy, and it
appears at this time we may have space available in the entering
transfer class. Given the late date, however, the Committee is
interested in people for whom Georgetown is their top choice and who
will come if admitted. If you are ready to come to Georgetown if
we're able to admit you, please let me know so I may to communicate
that information to the Committee.

Wishing you all the best and a wonderful summer,

Sincerely,
Blake

I called and Admissions Office. They informed me that decisions would be sent out next week latest being Friday and that they strongly recommend waiting for next week before making any lease decisions, etc... So I am cautiously optimistic

Did either of you write LOCIs, call Admissions, visit the school, etc. before receiving that email? I'm just curious if there's anything I can do to improve my chances at getting accepted off the waitlist next week too (since it seems like both of you might - congrats in advance!).

Withdrew. Good luck, y'all. If you were waitlisted at Gtown, you're probably in good shape no matter the outcome.

Is there a way to say in a LOCI, 'I'm in at GW but I'd rather go to GULC' without sounding like a douche?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
