Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
Is there anyone in this forum that got into Georgetown as early action last year or the year before? What was the gpa cutoff for the second semester or is there a cumulative gpa that you have to maintain?

Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
I would be suprised if their is any GPA requirment post-EA acceptance. But the reason you are transferring (most likely) is for an opportunity to work in a big firm in a major market. Note that if this is not your goal, then transferring probably does not make financial sense because no transfers receive scholarships. Big firms care about grades and if you let your grades slip from your prior school, the fall could be rough.

Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
I'm sure more people will get a status change tomorrow. Last year, I think people went complete on the 18th, 20th and 21st and all got in. Then the ones who went complete on the 25th got deferrals.TTRansfer wrote:Same.terpfan12 wrote:I'm in a very similar spot and got a status change...I really don't know if it even means anything we'll have to just wait and seeTFR wrote:My stats could go either way and I did not get a status change on 4/20

Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
So hopefully this is a good thing. I mean, they accept 100 transfers. A lot of the people who get in probably also get in in other T14 schools and would go there. I'm curious how many they actually accept vs how many actually matriculate.lnllnl wrote:I'm sure more people will get a status change tomorrow. I really hope I don't get the e-mail of doom in my inbox in the next few days. There very well may be no news tomorrow, but I would be surprised if nothing happens by Tuesday or Wednesday. Oh well, we shall see. Back to the books.jarofsoup wrote:IsTheFatLadySinging wrote:Let the firestorm begin again tomorrow morning!

ETA: I love that video of GULC's campus. Lovely.

Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
I am also a little confused. Is the date supposed to change again before we get access to the admitted students site? Is this how it has been in prior years or is it directly from the first status change to getting access to the site? Anticipation is nerve wrecking.

Last year it changed once to 4/18 and then once again to 4/20. So I really have no idea.Hoping5000 wrote:I am also a little confused. So tomorrow will be more likely the date we all find out. The Friday date change has really rattled this group quite a bit.TTRansfer wrote:Last year it changed once to 4/18 and then once again to 4/20. I just noticed that when putting a dummy email and last name that the site says your information was not found like in .5 seconds but when putting in the legit information that it took like 2 seconds before saying not found. Is this just random or anyone else notice the same thing?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
