DePaul. From Chicago and I have some fairly good connections to area firms. Although, not having to take the bar in Wisconsin is nice.

Eh, there's only one person in the last decade or so who successfully transferred from my school to UT. I was a long shot, to say the least.

Thanks though.

Thought I would let everyone know my cycle so far...

I have been traveling all over the country this summer and have been extremely busy. As such, (and with already being in at GULC), I fell behind on my apps. Nearly every app was submitted on the deadline. Really no way around it... was just moving all over the place (quite ltierally and figuratively). Figure if they didn't want to accept people who submitted at the deadline they would move it earlier? I dunno.

(just outside) top 5% at an upper T2

GULC - in EA
Chicago - nearly insta-dinged

Pending:

Penn
NYU
CLS

Prediction:

DING DING DING

Wasn't this supposed to be "the big day" for those of us that are not auto admits? The whole day after deposit deadlines theory?

Apparently wishful thinking. I'm now one week closer to homelessness as my lease runs out and one week closer to a nervous breakdown.

While my nervous breakdown won't happen (Not 100% about that though considering the write-on will start soon) since I have some great acceptances, I've got you beat on homelessness. My lease ran out July 1 (had no idea where I was going) and have been living on friends couch all month. Everything else....in storage.

This situation is getting pretty harsh. I wish the schools that didn't want me would just send out a rejection already. Although, since I've been rejected at all but one reach, that might have already happened and now I'm on the fence everywhere, which would be nice because it would give me decent odds as I still have like 6 or 7 outstanding apps.

This. Especially because if I'm out at GULC, I'm out everywhere and I can move on with my life.

No, I'm just assuming that if I'm out at GULC I won't get in because it's higher ranked.

hate to be a debbie downer, but in basically all prior years 100% of Yale acceptance have gone out as phone calls at one time, so even if they're just starting to hand down decisions, it also probably means they're done with acceptances (based on precedent).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
