NYU Transfer Waiting Thread 2014 Forum

A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

UPS email yesterday (7/17), Status as "decision letter sent," and can access website. Hopefully not counting my chickens before they hatch.

UR 7/11, 7/14, 7/17. App submitted late June.

DLS today (7/18), but status date remains 7/17. No UPS notification yet.
Hope they are not sending out ding letters at this point.

my stats are very mediocre. bottom T14 slightly above the median (significant improvement in 2nd sem tho). so don't lose faith.

Am I out of the race if I haven't heard back? Went complete in early July but have been under review since then. In at UChicago but would like NYU.

Alright, unhappy to report that DLS doesn't always mean admit. I called, was told to check my spam, and there was the reject email.

At this point not good.
Not good because of stats or because of 21 days of no action? Until now I thought based solely off of stats that my odds were pretty good. But please do shatter my dreams if they are unrealistic!
