There are oodles more of us applicants out here... Just nothing to say. My app's been "ready for review" for a month-ish now. 7/7 is when I am expecting to hear.
Anyone in here also apply to Yale?

That high?? I was going to guess like 5-10% shot at best lol.
I haven't heard of anybody ever getting in outside of the top 5%

Well <30 could be 5-10% =P. I have no idea - are you actually ranked at your school?LawLschool101 wrote:That high?? I was going to guess like 5-10% shot at best lol.

My school doesn't rank but they do top 10% in increments of 1%... so it's kinda ranked but not really.

I'm still stuck at "Application Received" even though my application was received on 06/15/2014. I'm probably being way too paranoid about this, but usually how long does it take after they receive all of your materials for your status to be updated to "Under Review"?

This leads me to believe that they may no have started reviewing them yet, rather they're waiting until the end of next week to process the rest of the required stuff. (Which means when they'd begin reviewing on June 30)

That seems a bit too much to just start the review. That is 2 weeks after the "deadline."HorseThief wrote:CounselorNebby wrote:I sent HLS one of those annoying "Did you get my ish" emails. Does anyone have any anecdotal evidence on how important your undergrad GPA/LSAT scores are for your transfer application? My 1L grades are competitive, but my undergrad GPA/LSAT scores are both around (or lower than) the 25th percentile for Harvard.

I can't remember where I read this (maybe the Spivey thread?), but I thought your undergrad wasn't considered since those are used to predict your 'success' in LS. Your 1L grades are a much better confirmation of your potential.randomstudent wrote:Does anyone have any anecdotal evidence on how important your undergrad GPA/LSAT scores are for your transfer application? So the question is the first person to get accepted should we buy him or her dinner or should they buy the rest of us, dinner?

I did, although I'm not sure I'll get in at either school. What schools did you apply to, ethmdv? And which is your top choice?ethmdv wrote:There are oodles more of us applicants out here... I will buy dinner for all at Hungry Mother, Craigie on Main, Oleana, or Blue Room.

Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
where is everyone getting the information on the status of their applications? I sent in my app on 6/14 and then emailed them about my transcript arriving late, they said that was fine, bla bla bla... but I never got any log-in information to check my application status or anything?

Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
When you submitted your app did you get a confirmation of its receipt and info for a status checker? They should have emailed your your status checker username and temporary password. It is the same checker as was used for 1L admission just a bit different (username is LSAC#+1).LawLschool101 wrote:where is everyone getting the information on the status of their applications? If you haven't received that, call them.

Current Status: Application Ready for Review
Up top it reads: "Your application to Harvard Law School is complete. This means that we have received and assembled all required materials and submitted your application for review."
This is usually the last update until admits start going out. (Last year admits were transmitted via status checker of all things, haha)
