Waitlisted Applicants:
TTTT, 4.067 GPA (Mce252)
Low tt, top 5 people, (lyonsoccer87)
Lower tt, top 1.4% (terpfan12)
Lower TT, 3.3 gpa (lawst)
TTTT, top 1% (tlink)
TTTT, 3/125, 3.7 GPA, app under review (laziness perse)
t30, Top 20% (deankrazjic)
50ish, expected #1 (mileslibertatis)
t25, top 15 % (hd1487)
I promise I'm not trying to put salt on anyone's wounds by updating this -- it's just easier to do now. And it's my last week at work and no one wants to give me a project I can't finish.

I think if a lot of these people blanket the top 4-20 they will get a lot of hits. Some of these numbers are awesome. GUCL must have had a lot of applicants and must have become more selective.
I think there is a lot of transfer applicants this year.

Still no movement at all on mine, even though the timeframe is the exact same as some of y'alls.
Looking at the numbers for this cycle, I'm a strong candidate for a ding and an outside shot at a waitlist.

Dinged today. Deferred EA, spring grades plummeted, so not a big surprise.
3.3 at a TT. No rank.
Good luck to those still in the running.

If that's their mindset, I hate them because GULC is the highest school I applied to, and the only one aside from GW. I only applied to GW after GULC deferred me EA. lame. I just wanna be in DC!!!!

Not too late to pepper the T-14 with more apps. It'd definitely be worth it if you're a One Percenter (non-motorcycle gang type, that is).

Definitely looks like the waitlist is for auto-admits who are likely to get T10s, not the typical "good, but just barely not good enough" that usually are waitlisted.

They waitlisted me without even seeing my official rank - based on previous years it is definitely top 10% and could be as high as top 5%. Did this happen to anyone else?

I was deferred EA and accepted RD. t4, top 1%
This is a general question for everyone denied and wait listed as well as some advice for next year's applicants.
After being deferred EA, how/did you boost your application?
- My EA application only had 2 LOR's from current professors. After being deferred, I went to my two other professors (tail between my legs) and requested LORs. I ended up with 4 LOR's for my RD application.
- I increased my cumulative GPA. But ranked stayed the same.
- I Booked 4 classes second semester. (For a total of 7).
- I sent a LOCI detailing the above information, with more information about how exciting my summer employment is (and what Im doing).
I assume my LOCI was the reason I was accepted and many of you (some you with the same, if not better numbers) were wait listed/rejected.
If they deferred you EA, that simply means that your application wasn't good enough. You have to make it stronger.
If you are on the wait list, and have not yet sent a LOCI, PM me and I can send you mine if you want to see an example.
I am sure some of you that were wait listed/rejected today will get T10, so don't worry.
Good luck to everyone else with this cycle, it has just begun!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
