Not a single peep on multiple fronts for me. Beginning to get slightly frustrated. A rejection would mean I knew where I stood, in the very least.

Anybody else find this troubling (e.g. that as low as *10* matriculants (is that a word?) would be selected)?mjs8ub wrote:
Back in May I visited the school and spoke with the senior assistant dean of admissions. She said they were anticipating taking anywhere from 10-15 students, but potentially up to 20.
First off, does anyone know *generally* how many transfer applicants UVA receives? The TLS interview with Dean Trujilo from 2009 says about 200 applicants--of which they take about 20--but even in 2009, they said they were looking at taking fewer in 2010. Does anyone know/remember off-hand how many admits there were in 2010 and 2011? 20 would seem like their average
I wish I were a VA resident...

Rejected today via email. Went complete on Friday and was rejected on Monday afternoon. Guess I wasn't even close (T40, Top 8%).
Best of luck to everyone.

My understanding is that Virginia prefers resident transfer applicants.

How about UMichigan? I applied there today. I hope they don't prefer in-state residents.

I was complete as of Friday and my status still says complete and under consideration, so...I guess that's a good sign given there were some rejections today?
C'mon UVA...I love you despite my non-residence.

Hmm, no posts in this thread for almost 72 hours. Granted, Wednesday was a holiday, but I guess nothing happened yesterday or so far yet today.
Perhaps some friday afternoondecisions admits? That'd be a great treat for the weekend.

Yeah I was wondering about this seemingly slow pace. Given then 6/15 "optimal" deadline I was sure I would hear from UVA first, and certainly before NYU. I guess the rumblings of a small class size must be true, but still - it's been awfully quiet on here.PrayingforHYS wrote:Hmm, no posts in this thread for almost 72 hours. ^^ What I'm afraid of. I really, really like UVA and Virginia in general though despite being a non-resident, but that might not be good enough hah.FlanSolo wrote:I guess the rumblings of a small class size must be truePrayingforHYS wrote:Hmm, no posts in this thread for almost 72 hours. Based on the earlier posts in this thread though, it seems like they're getting some dings out there, but I'm not sure we've seen any acceptances on TLS for UVA yet, so, I guess that's not a terrible sign

Yeah - I'm guessing you are in decent shape if you have been complete for a while and haven't been dinged yet. As I mentioned before, I got dinged within 2 business days.
