$250 for letter of good academic standing? Forum

Anonymous Posting

You need one for every school. It's $250 for the first two, $50 for each school after that.
So for 4 letters you pay 250(2) + 50(2) = 600? Or 250 + 50(2) = 350?
The latter. So if you only wanted to apply to two schools it would be $250. Three schools would be 300, four would be 350, and so on.

How they came up with these numbers is a complete mystery. I tried to get an explanation and there was just some rambling about answering phone calls from schools and other nonsense. There is really no reason except trying to prevent people from transferring.
