A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

Congrats, I'm in [sorta] the same boat, but still waiting on two more schools to get back to me. I'm from SD and working downtown for the summer and would love to come back, but everytime I look at the COA it scares me.

GULC- EA Deferred, RD Rejected on 6/28
Boalt- Rejected on 7/6
Hastings- No "Complete" Email, but spoke to admissions and they have everything
UCLA- No "Complete" Email, but spoke to admissions and they have everything
USC- Complete on 6/18
CLS- Incomplete, but they should have everything

Top 8%, 3 LORs from professors, WE, applied to all of these schools initially and was denied now reapplying as a transfer:

Northwestern: Complete, no decision
Georgetown: Complete, no decision
Vanderbilt: Complete, no decision
University of MN: Incomplete
NYU: Complete, no decision
Cornell: Complete no decision

Can anyone tell me what the turn around time is usually? And also, what my chances are??? Thanks!!

Both were submitted before the deadline, but I have no clue if I'll hear anything back before July 1. Here's to hoping.

Just found out via status checker that I was denied at UGA. Going to call eventually to see if I can't find out why but I suspect it has to be because I'm part-time. Perhaps they allow transfers in the Spring as well. Hopefully Georgia State will bite.
