All but two of the classes I tried to register for are closed! Does anyone know if they allow us to get into closed classes? Anyone talked to the registrar about it?

Good luck with that. Last year most of us had crazy schedules because we had to register at the last minute. You can change your schedule through the first week of class, so just keep checking. A lot of students will drop classes and change their schedule at the last second.
Also, each law review only took like one student from the write-on competition last year. And most students didn't find out until the day before school. Email the administrative assistant to ask if decisions have been made. You can always write on for the 3L year.
Let me know if you guys need anything. It took me a few weeks to get adjusted to everything.

Re: SMU 2011 Transfer
Howdy y'all
I'm applying to law school for 2012 admissions, an SMU is my first choice, however, my LSAT score is 148. I have a 3.52 gpa. URM: Mexican (SHOULD help my odds). There is a slim chance that I WILL get accepted with these numbers, so worse come to worse, Ill transfer into SMU. However, I ignore the steps required. Ive heard and read about transfer contests, and such. Can anyone enlighten me on how this works? Also, how many credits do you need to transfer, class rank, school, gpa are necessary in order to be considered as a transfer... Thanks, and congrats to all the transfers! Where did y'all transfer from? and what were ur credentials?
Thanks!

This thread should answer all of your questions. For starters, don't go to law school planning on transferring.andresmtz147 wrote:Howdy y'all
