Looks like decisions won't be going out today. I'm guessing a Tues/Wed/Thurs barrage like last week. Agree?

Looks like it...Hope we're wrong though! Maybe they're just waiting to get some more responses from the first batch of acceptances before they offer anymore.

Once it's past 5pm Central it's pretty clear there won't be any news. Keep an eye on that Twitter account though! lol

True, except the tweet about no acceptances went out past 6 pm central and said back at it monday ("rest assured," no less) so you never know I guess.Mr_Palsgraf wrote:Once it's past 5pm Central it's pretty clear there won't be any news. Keep an eye on that Twitter account though! lol

Actually that tweet was sent out at 4:10pm central. I remember because it is time-stamped AND I remember what I was doing when I saw it come up. I'm betting they start up again tomorrow.

Re: Northwestern 2010 Transfer Cycle
I received an offer from N'western last Wednesday and am very likely to accept. I'm coming from the D.C. area and am not very familiar with Chicago. Given the cost of housing, I'm looking to find a roommate that's a law student there and wants to live close to the school (the D.C. metro has made me wary of relying on public transportation too much).
So if you're transferring there and may be interested, feel free to pm me.
BTW, for those still waiting to hear, I'm from a school ranked ~40, top 10%, with fairly strong soft factors (internships with professors). I wish you all the very best.

Not a tweet on twitter. They might just be quietly sending out acceptances to standbys now?

Yeah, this is not looking good. I wish they would send the bulk rejections, so I could start packing my bags for GULC. Not looking forward to this write-on comp. next week.

Nothing here. I'm at the point I just want to know where I stand even if I am rejected. I need to put in for loans and don't want to wait too much longer to see how much I need to ask for. Have you guys put in for loans already? Should we wait?

Re: Northwestern 2010 Transfer Cycle
From @nulawadmissions: Yes, we hope to have all decisions for completed applications out by the end of the week.
So at the very least we can all take heart in the fact that we will likely know, good or bad, in the next few days. I was hoping it wouldn't go beyond this week. Like I have said, I feel a ding coming on but I also enjoy anticipating an answer because until the rejection arrives you never know. Good luck everyone!

Re: Northwestern 2010 Transfer Cycle
In at Northwestern as of 3 PM EST on 7/13/2010. Yay!!!!!!!! I thought I was toast since I turned in my app 5 days after the July 1 deadline
Currently at school in the 40's where I'm ranked somewhere in the top 5% to 25% of my class (very hard to estimate). Substantial work experience, a genuinely personal essay, and many softs probably boosted me up.

That's great, congrats! A little confused on how you are still unclear on your class ranking but hey, whatever, you're in! Top 25% seems a stretch though. I don't think they take people outside 10% and at the most they may stretch to 15% from highly ranked schools. Still, gives this Top 9%'er hope.

My interpretation of the latest "tweets" is that the class is full. So, if you were not waitlisted and still have not heard you are probably sitting in the rejection pile. Damn!

Re: Northwestern 2010 Transfer Cycle
The tweet about the class being full is referring to regular JD 1L acceptances. While I agree with you that anyone still waiting for a transfer decision is LIKELY out, they weren't referring to transfers in that tweet.moakdaddy wrote:My interpretation of the latest "tweets" is that the class is full. For what it's worth, our seat deposits our due by July 21 @ noon. I would imagine another big wave of acceptances will happen after July 21. Then acceptances will continue to trickle until the first week of classes.

Yes, this is probably true, but I'm guessing those acceptances will be for those waitlisted. Things are bleak for those who have not heard anything by now (me), IMO. Meh - looks like admissions at GULC really tightened up for regular decision, so I guess I should be thanking my lucky stars coming from a T-4.

Okay but who can wait that long to put in for loans? Is it not that big of a deal to wait that long to apply for loans? Maybe I just think it is.
