I did address the committee the same way the attorneys in my firm did regarding the header, but I doubt something that minor could of been the issue. Super confused
i dont understand what you meant by that?

Re: Georgetown Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
I just addressed them the same way the attorneys did in my firm when they wrote my LORs in my confirmation of interest email. I did send the response from my work email, but I can't imagine that my signature showing my name with the 1L "Associate" tag could of hurt. I'm lucky I already have a job in biglaw, just stunned I guess. Oh well, good luck to all of you. LMAO

Just wondering how we feel about missing write ons/oci.....it scares me a little bit. I can still try to write onto UT's law review.

The faster we get going on this stuff the better a chance we will get some OCI stuff.timmyd wrote:Just wondering how we feel about missing write ons/oci.....it scares me a little bit. I can still try to write onto UT's law review.

Re: Georgetown Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
Did your acceptance emails state that you could still do EIW or that they could accommodate such late acceptances? I am confused because I thought EIW bidding deadline was July 17th which meant that you can no longer submit bids for EIW.Jimbola wrote:The faster we get going on this stuff the better a chance we will get some OCI stuff.timmyd wrote:Just wondering how we feel about missing write ons/oci.....it scares me a little bit. So I am surprisingly in a good mood after that swift rejection yesterday. I was just offered to return to my firm as a 2L and my boss didn't seem to mind that I was rejected by GULC. Anyone think I should just reach out and see why it happened? The timing was interesting, as it immediately followed my confirmation of interest e-mail. LMAO!!

Thank you, it is definitely still crazy how that decision unfolded. I wish you the best of luck, you are most definitely getting that acceptance.

Sorry, I just figured I'd keep it to myself because it doesn't really change anything. It seems that the rejection was a miscommunication and that I am still on the WL. I'm preparing to stay in my home market, unless they really do extend an offer. Best of luck to everyone either way!

If I had the opportunity to even come close to going to Columbia, I would go there over any law school. My home market is NYC and during my 1L SA experience this summer, all I've heard from the EPs was how amazing they think Columbia is when I initiated conversation about potential transfer options. GL either way, that's an amazing option you have.

How far in advance do you need to look for an apt?
How hard is it to fond an apt near the school?
I am married, so roommate option prolly won't work.
